State Library resources

Rural Libraries Queensland Manual - Requests - State Library operates an extensive request system which enables you to draw on more than 300,000 items held in the RLQ network as well as other collections within Queensland and the other states. Making use of this system can greatly enhance the service you provide for your library members.

Loans manual for Independent Libraries - This manual has been produced for staff in Queensland independent public libraries when requesting and borrowing materials from the public library collections at State Library.

State Library Loans and Copies to LIbraries Policy - State Library is the premier reference library for all Queenslanders. Statewide access to the collections is facilitated through a partnership with a network of public libraries located throughout the state of Queensland. This policy sets out the borrowing arrangements between State Library and these public libraries.

OneSearch catalogue - State Library provides material collections (books, magazines, maps, audio-visual material, music scores, etc.) to members of the public in various formats. The general collection covers all areas of human knowledge and is augmented by the various specialist collections.

Queensland Public Library Interlibrary Loans Standard - Provides standards and guidelines for the provision of community access to resources via the effective use of resource sharing and an efficient interlibrary loan and document delivery service. Revised November 2011.

Australian Libraries Gateway - Hosted by the National Library of Australia, you can use this tool to locate libraries with Web-based catalogues. Use the 'Find a Library' option and indicate in the advanced search option that you require libraries with a link to an online catalogue.

Libraries Australia provides access via subscription to the national database of material held in Australian libraries. You can search for any item and locate which library in Australia holds it.

Trove brings together content from libraries, museums and research repositories to view full text digital resources online.
