Disability Services Act 2006: The Disability Services Act 2006 took affect on 1 July 2006. The Act provides the strongest foundation Queenslanders have ever had for promoting the rights of people with a disability, increasing their wellbeing and encouraging their participation in the life of the community.

All Abilities Queensland: opportunities for all - State Disability Plan 2017-2020: The plan builds on progress already made and guides how Queenslanders can work in partnership with Commonwealth and local governments, the corporate sector, non-government and community organisations, communities and individuals, to provide opportunities for all.

2010-2020 National Disability Strategy: A ten year national plan for improving life for Australians with disability, their families and carers.

ALIA Library and information services for people with a disability: ALIA policy to promote and improve services provided by all kinds of libraries and information agencies.

ALIA Guidelines on library standards for people with disabilities: The aim of these guidelines is to provide benchmarks for an acceptable minimal level of service which can be used by all libraries in analysing the current level of service, in facilitating forward-planning and in developing strategies for more-effective services.
