Disability Services Act 2006: The Disability Services Act 2006 took affect on 1 July 2006. The Act provides the strongest foundation Queenslanders have ever had for promoting the rights of people with a disability, increasing their wellbeing and encouraging their participation in the life of the community.
Queensland Disability Plan 2014-19 (PDF 784 KB): Enabling choices and opportunities : The Queensland Government released the new five year Disability Plan late December 2013. The main focus of the plan is to prepare Queensland for the introduction of the National Disability Insurance Scheme and make mainstream services and sectors accessible and inclusive.
