Contribute to Belonging in Queensland mural

You and your community are invited to contribute your photos as part of a new mural project at State Library of Queensland. Your challenge is to depict a sense of connection to places or people in Queensland, inspired by the theme of belonging.

Our sense of belonging in this state is as diverse as our people and cultures, and SLQ is looking for photographs that reflect our many realities. Perhaps it’s an image that portrays a relationship with family, friends, a club, or community, or maybe your connection to a landscape, street, town, or place?

Whether it’s about the close-knit group or the individual, your image should express something about the shared need to belong. We also want to know your reasons or feelings why this image means ‘belonging’ to you.
Consider hosting a local photographic search or competition, or encourage all to contribute.

For information on how to submit photographs, photo guidelines, copyright/consent/ownership, supporting material required, and technical details, visit the State Library of Queensland website.

Images will be accepted up until Tuesday 10 May, 2016.
