New online short courses for library staff now available
Two new online courses are now available from the Australian Library and Information Association:
Futureproof: practical digitisation skills
11 May – 29 May 2015
This short 'n sweet, 3 week online course will focus on the practical tasks of creating "good" digital objects, such as scanned photos, digitised audio tapes or searchable text documents. It will consider the basic ideas of futureproofing both born digital objects and newly created objects.

Reading Makes the World Go 'Round
1 June – 12 July 2015
This online unit will introduce participants to the wide range of literature in library collections and the ways libraries can promote its use to clients; the course will also examine the role of libraries in promoting literature and reading. This course celebrates and supports the aims of the Love2Read campaign.
